Jon’s Background

Jon is a native Texan—but he spent much of his early life in Thailand, where his father worked in the oil and gas industry. He attended high schools in Houston and Bangkok, and later moved to Pennsylvania, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Security and Risk Analysis from Penn State University. Jon is currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance from Western Governors University. Before joining Viyu, he worked as a cybersecurity analyst for Praxis Partners, a leadership development company in Houston; and as an international cybersecurity analyst intern at Mahidol University in Bangkok. In these roles, he responded to security incidents, identified and resolved vulnerabilities, developed IT processes and led security awareness training. Jon also previously worked for startup Corgi Insurance, a business insurance platform for technology companies, as a founding go-to-market leader. At Corgi, he assisted in lead generation, customer service, technology development and cybersecurity management.

Jon’s international perspective and IT experience bring great value to Viyu’s global clients. He speaks English, Thai and technology clearly, and enjoys helping customers solve problems and improve their business outcomes. With experience in IT systems, network security, cloud systems, development, infrastructure and more, Jon has a deep understanding of his clients’ needs, and is skilled in helping them find the best products and solutions to meet them. A lifelong learner, Jon is working toward achieving multiple certifications as well as his master’s degree, with the goal of becoming a subject matter expert in cybersecurity.
